The Faces Of Those The FERC Order Has Hurt

Watch this news story. If you want to see who this nightmare has really hurt, well here they are. These people only represent a small portion of lake residents who are suffering and will suffer at the hands of the FERC and Ameren if the madness does not stop.

This Is What FERC Said...

Taken from a FERC press release...

"FERC’s prior order on this case, issued July 26, 2011, was misinterpreted to mean that the Commission would order all privately owned structures built within the boundaries of the Osage project to be removed."

But this is what the FERC Order of July 26, 2011 reads...
Pg.15;paragraph 46

"....the Commission does not allow the interests of private property owners to override the public’s use and enjoyment of project lands and waters appropriate actions to resolve such non-conforming structures and encroachments with the goal of removing them from the project boundary."

It also says....
Page 13; paragraph 39

"...the Commission does not condone residential
development and occupancy of project lands, since such residential use is inconsistent with the Commission’s policy"

It says this, too...
Page 13; paragraph 40

In the majority of cases, the existing non-conforming structure/encroachment should be removed in a timely manner and the site restored to pre-existing conditions."

How do you "misinterpret" that?

This deed is made, however, subject to the following easement reserved to and retained by Union Electric Land and Development Company in and to all lands herein conveyed to Union Electric Light and Power Company, viz; Union Electric Land and Development Company for itself, its successors and assigns, hereby reserves an easement in the lands hereinbefore described and hereby conveyed, to use the surface of said lands whether submerged or not, for any and all purposes whatsoever, including the erection and maintenance of improvements thereon, provided such use will in no way interfere with the construction, operation and maintenance by Union Electric Light and Power Company, its successors or assigns, of the said dam......
